Jasmine Mooney, a Canadian national who appeared in “American Pie Presents: The Book of Love,” said she was put “in chains” after immigration officers on the U.S.-Mexico border flagged her work permit paperwork. Mooney said she was confined for two days in a small cell at a border station.

A good point of clarification might be, what urban planning gains can come from autonomous vehicles that *cannot* come from meaningful investment in public/active transportation. Although I suppose autonomous vehicles could also be public transportation.

Good read! I recommend Blackmar's *Manhattan for Rent* (1991). She writes of the centuries-long housing crisis. In the early 1800s, “newspapers, visitors, and residents reported that the city did not have enough housing” and “the tone of such complaints had gained a new urgency” by 1840 (p. 183).
