The epistemology of “it’s true if I tell it.”

Rumors are as good as evidence.

That’s the one that gets me. I mean, my family are all college educated.

Anyway, they’re primed to turn you into the police based on rumors.

Notice how this aligns with the I Do My Own Research sensibility almost everyone has about navigating an infinite sea of fragmentary information sources

I also wonder if there’s a (still selective) anti-establishment thread that runs through their skepticism. Mainstream media, the supposed “deep state,” and even science (think MAHA). They get to feel special because they’ve got the real pulse on things and feel smarter than everyone else.

Ironic thing is that railing against postmodernism is what their "intellectuals" do online all day. Of course thats part of the sociopath game, accuse your victim of doing what you've done or plan to do
