Depression's striking with a vengeance tonight, so I'm back on looping GLASS HEART for the time being.

It's been a year since I last drew comic for a personal project, but it's been so much fun (even though I draw comic for work all the time...). I'd love to publish it as a book someday when it's finished.

I think what I like most about tokusatsu is how broadly it can appeal to people. We don't have to like the same elements or the same titles, but there's almost always something for someone.

Kind of a testament for how long it's been around.

- Dec 21: Christmas-themed action performance
- Dec 27: recital (two songs)
- Dec 28: meet-and-greet?

No rest for the weary yet. 😅

This is why it's important to cultivate a healthy sense of skepticism about your own translations. Not so much like, gaslighting yourself, but more just, never take for granted that you know what a Japanese word means absolutely, and whenever you feel something is off, look into it.

Translation is just a never ending battle against phrases that work just fine but also you wouldn't write if this was English, like do we have softer expressions? I mean, you know what it means but you wouldn't say that but extrapolating to something more specific feels like a wrong choice here so--

I really like the color coding in NecroMerger. Feels really organic while still being a visual aid.
