I wish you’d have rethought on this. The new app and design is such a depressingly colossal step back. Your app was approachable and yet provided dense data for those who needed it. The new one is like Temu Yahoo! Weather with extra clicks and acres of wasted space. Such a pity.

It's not even just about people blindly trusting what ChatGPT tells them. LLMs are poisoning the entire information ecosystem. You can't even necessarily trust that the citations in a published paper are real (or a search engine's descriptions of them).

Yeah. It’s important to pinpoint where the creative parts happen in the process and that won’t be the same for everyone. I tend to “sculpt” articles rather than doing the linear typewriter thing. So, for me, using an LLM to order notes would not be helpful.

Thing is, it’ll just make shit up anyway. I experimented with using an LLM to sort a specs list for me. It was about 90% accurate and did save me some time. But if you don’t check every single thing these things output, you’re kind of fucked.
