An abstract, intricate, mixed-media artwork by the artist known as The Oblivious Mind (aka Anamika).

The artwork features various geometric shapes and patterns and it utilizes a bright and varied color palette.

The piece appears to be part of a series.

New rule: if you’re a Supreme Court Justice and you’re mentioned in the Epstein files, you have to recuse from any future lawsuit about the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Just a happy video. I love how rock solid the senior surfer is, even as he helps the boy.

Our insurance costs (home, health and auto) have gone up substantially this year. The increase is equivalent to some people's mortgages. I don't know how people are surviving this. Talking a lifetime of frugality being erased by greed.

My phone's in the "won't hold a charge" phase. I've decided it's a feature, since it makes me set the phone down and prevents me from playing mindless games.

It's not just "consumer smart" it reduces environmental waste, key materials are often mined in slave conditions. The whole tenor of the article is wrong - why is the economy so dependent on us engaging in mass waste?

I really liked the Ken Olsen article from Newsweek, way back when he argued marriage equality in the supreme court. Marriage is a commitment that strengthens communities and isn't substantially changed by the genders of the participants. It's a legal arrangement.

I don't remember if I ever posted my acrylic paintings here, but this is what I've been doing tonight πŸ˜†

I always paint with acrylics when I feel stuck with my art. Changing medium and subject helps me a lot.
I'm definitely make more paintings tomorrow 🀭

If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

Oh, last thing before I gotta go, thanks for arguing about this! I love people trying to wrap their heads around this stuff and I always learn something too!

I believe in government's power to do great things, but only with lots of surveillance and people willing to argue about it all!

Ooo. So-- TB flies into the US everyday. Decreasing worldwide TB is absolutely helping us avoid another pandemic.

Soft power helps us get mining contracts, tourism, and partnerships. It helps Americans travel without problems. It's really hard to value, but just like a loving parent, it matters

So, the graph and numbers being cited are showing massive fraud in Medicare and Medicaid. That makes more sense, given the numbers cited. So, if we want to look at fraud in NGOs, we need different numbers.

I'd also like to see the many half-finished investigations into Musk. Because I do believe that these orgs had the scoop on him.

I'm in the camp of "we should use the sums claimed for taking out debt as taxable wealth for our super rich". Because I'd love to tax wealth, but you need a number.

I'm interested in who wrote that report now. Because I absolutely support the mission of USAID. The plumpynut to starving children, support for TB and HIV sufferers, and increase of US soft power are things I want our government to do. And for $30 billion a year, it just wasn't much of the budget.

CASSIDY: I know it's titillating, but I think we need to move beyond the titillation

TAPPER: This isn't about titillation. This is about the fact that you are the chairman of the health committee and you voted to confirm somebody that by all accounts is actually making America less healthy

Tell Congress: Support discharge petition to force vote on ACA tax credits Contact Congress today!

Mike Johnson is big mad that we forced through a petition and forced a vote on releasing the Epstein files.

So let’s do it again. This time to restore the ACA credits he stole from us:

Really large theft is usually done with some kind of excuse. Think of the PPP loans during the pandemic. They got forgiven, but I don't recall a vote on it and a ton of money went to Congressional pockets. It's not illegal per say, but I hated it.

I think the point for me is that you want us to be upset about something that I'm not convinced has happened. Sure, it would be upsetting, but first I'd like an audit.

Frankly, I'd like a massive government audit from the last ten years. But as someone who audits--it's rarely what you think.

Okay, no. The whole US economy is 30 Trillion. There's zero chance that one trillion is going to NGOs, so it's not possible for that much to be wasted. USAID alone was around $30 billion. So, waste would only be a small percentage of that.
