Tony Blair: The fossil who is fighting wind on all fronts What’s in it for Tony Blair to attack wind power prices that are now lower than the overall market price?

Less renewables means higher prices.

So we either (i) trust Yusuf-I that Jenricks is a liar, (ii) trust Yusuf-II that he is not - but that means Yusuf called Jenricks a liar even though he didn't know him or know he was a liar, i.e. Yusuf is a liar.

So either way Reform leaders are liars.

An extraordinary new column in the Daily Telegraph (no, that's not a typo!) by Ambrose Evans Pritchard.

Yes, it includes two charts by Carbon Brief, sure.

But stay for the concluding few paragraphs about the electoral suicide of climate denial...

We need the media to ask politicians questioning net-zero, what their plan is for dealing with a world that gets hotter & hotter & hotter & hotter... We have to reach net-zero. The only question is when. And the evidence is that sooner can be cheaper, and UK can profit even if others don't act.

Stop Palantir taking over our public services! Our public services aren’t for a secretive profit-hungry US tech firm. Sign the petition to tell the Government to scrap all contracts with secretive US tech firm Palantir.

Palantir, a US spy-tech firm, has been given access to millions of NHS patient records.

Its founder has said the NHS should be 'ripped up'.

Join me in calling on the government to end the dangerous Palantir contract.

Anyone know how Reform come up with this net-zero will make up 2/3 of our energy bills? Is it plain wrong? Or just wrong in the sense that the alternative to decarbonising energy will cost same/more? When is something mis-leading enough to be illegal? @carbonbrief.org @goodlawproject.bsky.social

Atlantic current collapse could trigger β€˜unprecedented’ cooling, scientists warn Dozens of scientists from 15 countries have warned that climate change is putting one of the earth's most important ocean currents in danger of collapse.

At least one killed as Storm Leonardo tears through Portugal and Spain Leonardo is the latest in a string of storms to affect Spain and Portugal this year. Severe weather had already killed five people and injured hundreds in Portugal last week.

One dead, 1000s evacuated, I imagine this will affect UK food supplies(?) and it's not even in the UK news ... We have normalised ClimateCrisis extremes far quicker than I thought we would (I know there's a lot in the news just now)

NEW ANALYSIS: UK household electricity bills have risen over the last 5 years.

BUT: Despite frequent claims that net zero is to blame: 2/3 of the increase is because of high gas prices shows new @ukerc.bsky.social report.

Arguably without renewable energy the UK would see even higher bills today.
