I'd say for weather (ie short term) yes. Probabilities are well founded and well evaluated. In some comments you might still have more storyline, but underpinned by probabilities. Climate is different

Arguably without renewable energy the UK would see even higher bills today.
Compared with most UK journalism, it's refreshing to see a reporter stating straight up these are climate crisis stories. It shouldn't be. But you really don't see much UK media treating UK floods like that
