Absolutely nothing that they said surprised me because CPD wants people to sympathize with ICE / CBP and keep the actions & behaviors of CPD & ICE / CBP separate while also still blaming neighbors and community members for the escalations caused by ICE / CBP abducting people & CPD protecting them.

ICE and CBP GOONS are patrolling Chicago in unmarked civilian cars, kidnapping and disappearing people for filming.

Driving to the Montrose Bird Sanctuary and then to Honey Bear Cafe in Rogers Park this morning, something jarring was seeing no soccer games happening. Usually, on Sundays, every park was filled with games played by Latino men in their 20s and 30s. They would go until there was snow on the ground.

Hello Chief and APD Leadership, I just wanted to jot a quick thank you note for those who participated in this meeting with the Latino community about ICE in our neighborhoods. Sadly, this problem is not going away anytime soon. Historically, the police have been on the wrong side of history during the civil rights movement and the labor movement - defending capital. The pivotal points in American history are when police realized that their solidarity should be with labor; not capital. Labor vs. police: Learning from working-class history Workers World In this current struggle, I believe that we are 2-3 years away from a moment where we see the shift in solidarity. I would like to see Aurora lead, and show something different. It will create discomfort during the transformation. I noticed during the march towards Blue Kangaroo, when the police escort disappeared, that activists I didn't know used their vehicles to block the intersections and protect the marchers.

All living things have the capacity to evolve and grow. Government is about to go through a huge evolutionary period and shed that which is not necessary, and re-focus on what is important. As government continues to disintegrate from the top down, we have an opportunity to re-invent the ways we find food, water, shelter and protection. We would like the Aurora Police Department to play a historic role in defending the United States of America, and our city against fascism. We have a unique opportunity to do something different, leave our mark in the history books, and make a difference. I'm excited about the opportunity and look forward to discussing it further. Grocery stores run on razor-thin margins. The overnight disappearance of the demand stimulated by food stamps will be very bad for their business. Bad enough to exacerbate food deserts. Bad enough to put downward pressure on the overall food supply.

Just like when we were kids and after the notorious bully started a fight, the teacher would punish both of us for fighting. They just didn't give a shit.

All morning was spent chasing ICE out of my neighborhood in Chicago (Avondale) and meeting other neighbors who were out patrolling on foot, on bikes, and in cars. A caravan of ICE SUVs got within a half block of my house. I finally had to use my whistle. It works. It drew others out to the street.

The contrast of a small item/tool like a whistle versus large guns. Those whistles have an impact.

No one makes it entirely on their own. If you benefit from a functioning society, you owe something back.
