That's really sad. I was thinking of him just this morning as I was using something from vol 2 of that series for something I've been working on.

This was money very well spent. Me and my good lady had a rare evening without kids a couple of weeks ago and we watched this. The soundtrack is absolutely perfect for the film.

This was the first @audioobscura.bsky.social album I heard when I used a code he posted a few years ago. Absolutely blew me away.

It's a package from other Matt. A Rhythm and Sound 12", a Lush album, something by Craven Faults and one from Signals. I'm not familiar with those last two but Matt has very good taste so I'm looking forward to giving them a listen.

Oxfam in Manchester have pinned a copy of the ltd red 12" of X, Y & Zee by Pop Will Eat Itself to the wall. I love that record. I'm not ok with this.

It was a great gig although Green Day can't have played for much more than 45 minutes. It finished really early and we had to wait for ages to be picked up by one of the dads!

I've stolen this picture from somewhere else, but I was at that Green Day gig in Sept 95 at the Manchester Apollo.

£8 for a ticket. That's just £16.59 in today's money. Insane.

Absolutely blown away by this year's #vinylsanta. Such a generous package and some absolute belters. The Wonder Stuff, The Chemical Brothers, Pet Shop Boys, Roxy Music, Jean Michelle Jarre, Vangelis, Mark Hopkins, a couple of compilations and the rest. Really made up with this haul. Thank you!

Finally got the Christmas tree up so now's as good a time as any to post a picture of my #vinylsanta package. It's a heavy one. Really looking forward to seeing what's in there.

It's not a bad tape at all. I gave it another listen this morning. The manics song feels a bit out of place but it's a good listen overall.

Bjork performed with a handbell choir in 2004 which I thought was ace.

6 years later, I'm working in a school with a handbell choir. Worked there for over 11 years and then, in my final month before leaving, someone tells me that it was our guys that did the thing with Bjork. I had no idea.

I've got lots of stuff from @audioobscura.bsky.social over the last few years and it's all amazing. He's easily one if my favourite electronic/experimental/abstract (no idea what to call it really) artists. This one is not to be missed.

Picked another one of these Serious Records compilations up at the record fair at the weekend. £1 very well spent.

The CD singles have a very different feel to the vinyl singles, as they're pretty much all what I was listening to and buying (or grabbing from the pile of promos at work) *at the time* rather than stuff I might have bought since.

This sounds great. I've been to a few of the @moolakiiclubai.bsky.social film nights in Birkenhead and they're brilliant. If I were closer to this I'd be there.
