I prefer to spend my life enjoying the rich cultural life of Britain and pay tax thanks.
But if you want to spend the finite time you have left on earth living in the bleak vacuum of Dubai, that's your loss.

Too bloody right. There is no way we should pay money to Trump. Have we learned nothing from the whole Jimmy Savile business?
Yes, I'd take the role of DG of the BBC in a heartbeat. I have thoughts. For starters much of Radio 5 and the BBC News channel would go. Not a penny for gobshite phone-ins.
From @ericidle.bsky.social & Neil Innes' brilliant & criminally overlooked/unavailable RUTLAND WEEKEND TELEVISION, here's a truncated glimpse of George Harrison's Christmas 1975 guest appearance runner, where he didn't want to perform a song - He really just wanted to play a pirate...

This wasn't my cat, rather my late Dad's cat. This is Claude, a Saudi street kitten that adopted my Dad in 1997 and they were inseparable for the next 18 years. Claude never really liked me or my brothers. But he adored Dad, Dad adored him, he gave Dad something to live for.

Also, I'm sure you know this, but be careful crossing the roads. The cyclists are absolute speed demons.
Yeah, I think I came to the conclusion that there's a fine line between collecting and hoarding.
14.11.2025 13:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The article is perfect by the way. Thank you for sharing. When we cleared my late parents home, I think we overwhelmed the charity stores within a 20-mile radius. There were only so many places that wanted my Dad's cd collection and my Mom's cross stitch paraphernalia.

But the thing that is most remarkable about it is that the news is much shorter, around 90 seconds.

I am beginning to think that employers and the Government (Labour and Tory) are tag teaming this policy.

It's not like any of the series is believable or realistic so I don't know why they are fretting beyond it being a bad case of buyer's remorse!
I cannot speak for Chicago, but here in Reading, our fancy town centre had plenty of unoccupied shops. There's this thing called "the internet" and it has changed how people shop.
