It would be nice if people could stop acting like DEI is an only a moral good.
DEI strengthens organizations. People from diverse backgrounds bring new ways of solving problems and serving people.
DEI isn’t a gift to diverse people. It’s a gift to the orgs that hire us.
I receive a lot of feedback on social media asking me to keep politics out of science. But what they really mean is "keep the status quo" and "don't challenge a notion about society and science that makes me more comfortable"

Science should reflect the diversity of the world it serves. The way the system works now is to make sure there is no diversity, and that is why DEI work is necessary.
