There are a very rare amount of films out there that can exist in the vin diagram of movies that appeals to both three year olds and cinephiles -- Flow is one of them and one of 2024's very best. Pure cinema.

Small Things Like These swooping in and becoming one of my favorites of the year. Murphy carries an entire film with as many words as you get in a haiku. Tim Mielants’s gentle restraint, mixed with some well-timed aesthetic swings is big in a small way.
