I always enjoy KidLitArtPostcard day here, but sometimes it makes me a bit sad when I check people's profiles.

Just saying it would be nice if people actually hung out here, instead of just coming by once a month to throw a promo then jet.

“Drop it!” Concept chapter illustration representing a scene from the second book of my fantasy series, Warriors of Virtue. This is how Princess Lauraliee meets Ariel and Spot on her quest for the Water Fruit in the Mermaid Lake. Spot, a giant black octopus has wrapped Princess Lauraliee in a tentacled hug. His friend, the merman Ariel is telling him to drop the princess, while atop the cliff, Prince Diamond is looking into the water trying to see what is happening. This illustration was digitally created in Clip Studio Paint in a somewhat Mucha inspired style.
