Pitched this idea as a fundraiser for movie theaters during the COVID Oscars but seems way more apropos now:
Use the show as a fundraising celebrity driven telethon of sorts solely to raise money for the affected areas.
Give the awards, but make the secondary cause.
Feels like these are the 7 movies with actual paths left to Best Picture and where they sit currently by tier.
No S Tier Super favorite, esp w/ ACU nipping at the heels of the Globes 3 after noms today.
When the line moves on Awards Day, sometimes you're Hugh Grant, and sometimes you're Flow.
It's a matter of being savvy enough (and lucky enough) to be right.
