Hahaha my teen has been in a nightwish phase for some time

Me "You can choose the Playlist for the drive but"
Him "I'll need to skip some of the nightlight?"
Me "yep"

Your harvest is gorgeous

I agree with your points.

I'm pleased Rubes is there to have you out each day focussed on her dog business. Hopefully with more days it will become clearer what the next thing for you is.

Grief is the price of love, and regret the price of taking a chance.

Nice

I imagine you need an astonishing amount of grapes if you're working direct

Are these from this year's grapes or has it been aging from last year?

Or a kit?

Or??

Not parenting, but I remain stunned by the workmate who complimented me on the cake I made and said
"I never would have thought you could bake because, you're, you know..." at which point several of her colleagues interrupted with horror to cut her off

I think the winner was the person that said to me wife, when I took our son and our niece to playground "that's really great she helps out"
It seems they'd just invented a whole narrative in their head i was a late on the scene stepmother....

Maybe the phrase "if you don't have anything nice to say..." needs to be modified for some people to "if you don't have anything that's not stupid to say"

I am musing on some of the stupidest things people have said to us post pregnancy - as most people are great, but....

02.02.2026 00:03 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I'm so sorry to hear that.

Looks like great progress....
I think I'm in denial
Holiday ending with back to work Monday BUT off on a work trip so need to pack tomorrow....
Maybe I'll write myself a list tomorrow morning so I can check stuff off
Oh, and rhubarb ❀️

Ha.
Once we were shopping for a new vacuum and said to the shop assistant
"we have a cat"
He looked horrified and said "I really don't think you should use any vacuum on a cat"

Nice.
This was turned down in my house.
We're watching the glass onion....which is a huge improvement on the year my wife was offered chance to choose Xmas eve viewing and chose "Nazi megastructures". Since which time, she's never been allowed to choose again

Hahaha - it took me ages and then I laughed a lot

I think make them sound modern and hip like a hybrid fusion thing.
Cuffins - cookie muffins!!
Probably don't cask them coffins though

I'd choose a Ben Nevis, but have learned two new distillery names/shrouds

I couldn't quite make out the letters for cataibh and tried cataish...and Google helpfully offered to sell me catfish whisky tumblers and their AI assured me that laphroaig is known for a "cat-like" taste

Wonderful. Thank you.
She's so hard to find nice surprises for. I'm stoked.
And yes - we're looking forward to the movie.

This is a sidestep to secret Santa I'm sorry, but my wife LOVES life after life. And hugely enjoyed Hamnet. So should I buy her The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox amongst her Christmas presents?

Err BUT...

❌️Potaka made it harder to access emergency housing

❌️Upston made it harder for teens to access Jobseeker

❌️Bishop cancelled thousands of planned social housing builds AND sold off existing social housing

❌️Chhour slashed OT investment into youth employment programs

Pleasantly surprised mine has been studying, even whilst I...fell asleep on the couch.
He seems upbeat.
I'm more worried that whilst he does know his stuff, his handwriting is so poor, I'm not sure the marker will know he knows.

Ooh thank you. I have a family secret Santa I'm struggling with, and that huia pin looks perfect

This "and the faffing and fannying about (often followed by "Argh! I can't do this!")" looks like you are somehow peering in to our house.

I'm trying not to just go "Do it, or don't do it"

Every spring:
Me "does the sunshine on the heatpump mean it is currently sunny and I want it to be cooler, or that I need sunshine to warm up?"
I've no idea how I always talk myself in to complete confusion over apparently universal icons

It's absolutely beautiful, but only if you have power/fireplace/heating

Haha sorry hadn't seen this before I posted.
Wife just stared at me as I went off on a rant about how you could generate roads as a solution to any of our problems right now and said "what do you want me to say?"
I'm not sure who national is polling? Owners of mainfreight?

27.10.2025 21:24 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Skewed poll.
There was no option for ROADS. That's the government's solution, so how is no one seeing that as our key problem right now?
