It’s easier to emotionally manipulate and enrage people against a contrived but easy-to-identify enemy or ginned-up threat than it is to engage them to build a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, and/or promote the general welfare.

Someone busts into my apt bldg in the middle of the night and rips down my door without a warrant, they’d better expect incoming fire in self-defense. Of course even a legit act of self-defense will be used as pretext for ramping up the violence.

Ok, one of the victims of the assault says he asked to see a warrant and none was provided. Sounds like a 4A violation. If there was one it should be public record and reporters should chase it down and inform us of its content.

I’m hoping we find out their presence in the premises was illegal from the get go. We should be reminding these ICE thugs that govts can change and when that happens we will be demanding criminal indictments of as many of them as possible. I’d encourage civil suits against them as individuals, too.
