Today is the 50th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald sinking.

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is playing on repeat at my school. Surprised that’s the only thing so far today.

How do they not get that people are going to die?

I’m so glad technology has progressed. Downloading one game over a slow internet connection is much better than waiting 50 minutes for Disc 1 to install, then having to catch the prompt to put in Disc 2.

Today’s random project. Saw this at an estate sale and couldn’t pass up the awesome shiny box.

If InstallShield ever works I might be able to share photos of the game too.

Update: the potential president of the hall is sledding down in one of the large orange traffic cones.

Reports of the fun police have also come in.

First snow of the season. Lightsaber fights and Christmas music blasting. Also one dude skidding (intentionally) down the hill in what appears to be crocs.

We have snow, sledders, and a few brave carolers (they’re actually in tune!).

I also may just be funny insane. I’ve microwaved a hamster and tried holding heated socks to the badge. Neither got expected results.

Does anyone have tips on removing battery holders? I‘m unable to use a soldering iron at the moment, and trying to pull the holder straight up form the metal is not working.

a) there’s a really good reason stand mixers were invented
b) bagel dough is a brick and is not fun to mix by hand
