AI Needs So Much Power, It’s Making Yours Worse
There’s a strong link between proximity to AI data centers and higher levels of distorted power in residential areas
Real life is not like science fiction, where the power usage required for processing rarely, if ever, factors into the plot.
I still care very much about the ethics of AI usage but I really think its environmental and infrastructural impact desperately needs more exposure.
