Out today: Simple Electronics with GPIO Zero, 2nd edition - Raspberry Pi The updated edition of our starter-to-skilled guide shows you how to connect your Raspberry Pi with the real world.

I'm a big fan of Raspberry Pi. It is a complete Linux machine with easy access to external electronic components through GPIO pins, and yet it's small and reasonably priced. On top of that, it's got great books like this one!

If you are ever wishing to work in Japan, have an escape hatch from day 1.

Also, keep in mind that Japan is an extremely male-dominating country, regularly ranked below 100th in the Global Gender Gap Report published by the World Economic Forum.

In Japan, there are countless cases where people get ill and are "advised" i.e. forced to stop working by the employer. Company doctors silently remove those "dropouts". Many J companies keep these facts top secret. This is the real dark side of modern Japan.

The only thing I respect about Apple is the accessibility team. But the value of the a11y team's contribution has been significantly hampered almost to a complete void by the fact that Apple has been horribly closed about their very poor tech stack.

What is this leasehold thing in the UK? It is obviously a fraud in every single way, and yet it's been around like perfectly normal business.

AI is already very useful for finding ways of transportation from point A to point B. I think this particular application is where AI already outperforms humans by a huge margin.

Pocket is Saying Goodbye: What You Need to Know | Pocket Help More information about the end of support for Pocket.

Mozilla's Pocket is shutting down on 8 July. I came to know Pocket pretty late about a year ago, installed the app, but never used it on a regular basis. Something was really off in Pocket and it never became my regular app. This announcement came as no surprise.

Apple knows they are weak in software tech. Their mistake is that they decided to focus on myopic vendor lock-in rather than improving their software tech stack for long term sustaining success.
