6th game: Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tales. This game is so bad. They took away all the improvements from Bubsy 2 and made the game even more jank and annoying than the first game. I am baffled at how big a step back this was. #blutoid

What were you playing this on and did it melt?

When marketing Tomodachi Life on 3DS, Nintendo held a contest on Twitter for the game, a contest I somehow won. I didn't actually win the game, I won a 3DS XL. So it's safe to say Tomodachi Life has a special place in my heart and that I am very excited for this one. #blutoid

Bubsy 3D doesn't get a warning, but they notably included a version that fixes the controls for it. I am looking forward to seeing how the new controls change things.

So, if they had sped up the game for this rerelease, it would have sped up the timer and a ten minute timer would count down at probably three times the speed. I bet they tried to fix it and realized what it did to the timer and just decided to include the game with a warning that it sucks instead.

So why didn't they speed up the game for the rerelease? It's not running on a Gameboy anymore, surely they could have fixed that. Well, the game has a time limit in levels, and the original devs were somehow able to make the timer countdown accurately despite the slowdown.

What else doesn't pair well with slippery controls and bad hitboxes is the game runs really slow. I slipped into enemies in slow motion, unable to do anything about it. I also landed on top of enemies in slow motion, so I know I landed on them, why am I the one taking damage game?

This game somehow regressed back to Bubsy 1 control, meaning you are really slippery. This does not pair well with the incredibly jank hitboxes. Jumping on an enemy is supposed to damage them, way too often I would land on an enemy and take damage somehow. This game would be miserable without rewind

5th game beaten: Bubsy II on the Gameboy. This is the only game the Bubsy Collection warns you about and recommends skipping, so obviously I had to try it out. It's obviously bad, but nowhere near what I was expecting given the warning to stay away. I'mma ramble about it below. #blutoid

4th game beaten: Bubsy II. This one is interesting as they legitimately improved on the original Bubsy in a lot of ways. It controls better, you can take four hits instead of one, and you can use a gun. Not joking. It's a lot better, but still just an okay game. #blutoid

It depends on how much you can tolerate JPop, the story revolves around JPop.

3rd game beaten: The first Bubsy game on the SNES. I may have bought the Bubsy Collection. With Bubsy 4D looking like it'll actually be pretty good, I wanted to play the trainwrecks that led up to it. This one isn't bad so long as you have rewind. It would be awful without it. #blutoid

Saw the AI generated trailer for City of the Wolves and I can't imagine something killing my excitement faster than that. I was going to buy season 2 before they did that, not touching it anymore. #blutoid

2nd game beaten: Groove Coaster: Future Performers, with a caveat that the game somehow isn't finished yet. I didn't know this when I bought it, but I got to a certain point in the story and it opens up the next chapter and then tells me that chapter is coming soon. That doesn't feel nice. #blutoid

1st game beaten in 2026: Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star Crossed World. I started a new game once I got the DLC and have been slowly chipping away at it every once in a while. It was a good time, but I wish the final boss had been more interesting. #blutoid

I'm sitting here looking at my Steam library wondering what I should play to start the new year and I scroll past Skyrim and sigh. Dang it Todd! #blutoid

The only real issues I had was wall jumping and space jumping being really finicky. I still can't consistently do them. There was also one room that I got stuck in for way too long because I had to disable high jump to get past and I had forgotten that was something I could do.

24th and last game beaten in 2025: Super Metroid. Its been a long time since I've played this one, so I got lost and and missed a bunch of stuff. The controls haven't aged the best, and I would love for it to be brought up to Dread's control standard, but even so the game is amazing. #blutoid

It's free to play, so at the very least it won't be another Concord, and the devs definitely have a good track record, so hopefully it's a great game and gives Marvel Rivals a run for its money

That divinity trailer would have been a way more hype way to end the show!

I know it's a big deal that it's being made by the Apex and Titanfall devs, but seeing the last big reveal of the night be just another hero shooter was pretty disappointing (I definitely wasn't hoping for FF7 part 3).

Do you think the devs of High Guard saw Concord flopping harder than any other game in history while their own hero shooter was in development and maybe got a little nervous? #blutoid

When I got to the final boss and scanned both forms I saw that the scans were at 99% and needed to load my game and scout the desert for some stupid bird

I'm not nearly as up on anime stuff anymore, but I know Frieren is pretty popular and Gachiakuta is gaining popularity.

Speaking of dum dums, the Lamorn are the stupidest smart people ever. "We would like to greenify this desert, lets turn this green energy stuff we discovered and clearly don't fully understand into acid rain for the desert, there's no way that could go wrong horribly wrong"

After beating the game (I'm not sure if its required to beat it 100%) you unlock the full Sylux flashback sequence in the gallery, so that was cool. Man Sylux is a dum dum.

How did Samus escape Flare Pool when it exploded? No seriously, how? Her bike had been eaten and the place was exploding, next shot she is riding her bike out of there. Please explain Retro, I do not understand.

As characters I enjoyed the Federation Troopers, not so much as game mechanics. Its probably one of the reasons I thought the mines were lame, they were there basically the whole time faking their own deaths.

I really want them to patch an option to make Mackenzie shut up when I'm out and about. I really don't need him to tell me where to go, half of the fun is figuring out where to go, and Mackenzie constantly stole that from me while I was riding around the desert.
