Unterstützen werde ich den Film nicht, Leute wie Lawrence Krauss, der da offenbar prominent beteiligt ist, möchte ich nicht unterstützen.
Den Philosophen Wetz kenne ich nicht, kann sein, daß der ein kluger Typ ist, kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Schon klar. Epstein wurde 2008 verurteilt, Krauss war selbst danach sein Freund.
Kann sein, dass der Typ ein gutes Buch geschrieben hat. Es gibt aber zig Physiker, die tolle Bücher geschrieben haben und nicht mit Epstein verbändelt waren. Warum die GWUP gerade den Typen feiert, verstehe ich nicht.

Ist dieser "geniale" Lawrence Krauss nicht der Typ, der selbst Vorwürfen von sexueller Belästigung ausgesetzt war, Jeffrey Epstein auch nach dessen Verurteilung stets verteidigt hat und etliche Male in den Epstein Files auftaucht? Gerade jetzt für und mit ihm Werbung zu machen ist etwas irritierend

Ja, es lohnt sich. Auf seiner "Protagonist Science" Webseite gibt es mittlerweile auch eine KI-Audioversion, ich bevorzuge aber das Lesen.

Unfortunately, in the current political and societal climate, I see no signs that any time soon, these scientists will receive the appreciation that they deserve.
Kudos to you for your work and all the people that keep fighting for truth and evidence-based information, despite the potential harm.

I must, however, admit that reading your book leaves me quite sad. So many scientists have been treated unjustly, with @peterdaszak.bsky.social being the most prominent victim (of many). In Germany, we also have quite a few scientists that were -and still are- treated horribly for doing their jobs.

I was aware of some aspects, but many details were new to me. So, thanks for writing all this down, I would not be surprised if your work will be of substantial historic value.

Besides these aspects, it was very interesting to learn about the people responsible for creating the #lableak myth and how the current media landscape was misused by agents with political and/or financial incentives to spread this myth.

Most interesting for me as a molecular biologist were the details about the virus-related aspects, especially the intricate molecular adaptations that the progenitors of SARS-CoV2 must have picked up in the different wild animal hosts to finally result in the pandemic virus.

I have finished reading your book ”Lab Leak Fever” today and am extremely impressed with how much effort you have put into researching the topic and writing the book. I can only hope that this work will receive the recognition that it deserves.
