Charlie Chaplin - Final Speech from The Great Dictator
~85 years ago, Charlie Chaplin delivered a speech as part of the movie "The Great Dictator". Almost a century on, it seems more relevant now than it ever has. 85 years ago a comedian upheld democracy. In the present day, a comedian upholding democracy is called a dictator.

I'll have to check on that. My understanding of Ukrainian isn't great.

I have, if I remember right Trump even tweeted that video as a "look at this weird leader" attack. I thought it was a parody of a specific Ukrainian boy band while Zelensky was still a comedian though?

I get the feeling that's why Trump is so utterly jealous of him. Successful comedian, voice of Paddington, popular, gets *legitimately* voted to be the leader of Ukraine, turns out to be harder than Chuck Norris combined with Churchill as a leader... all the things Trump wished he was and failed at.

We've all been there at one time or another. The top of the hill you've been climbing for so long still seems like an eternity away. The wrong word from an "ally" pushes you back to the start. You wonder if you have the energy to try again. Then a true friend offers their hand and walks with you.

Wait, I think I've just realised why Trump/Musk were pushing that two tier policing shite. π€£

Don't forget he was the voice of Paddington bear in Ukraine... Personally I'm hoping we get to see Paddington smear his marmalade sandwichs all over Trump's face live, we won't be able tell orange from orange after the fact.

From under my desk wrapped in a blanket is my favourite way of the bunch given the insanity of current events. A personal thank you for adding a bit of sanity back in to the world.

I'm expecting it to be 30p Lee: "You don't need $500b of rare minerals, you can grab a few cubic zirconia for a few bob down the market".
