My new thing is oiling my cutting boards. As far as I can tell it's completely pointless but it's very gratifying. No discernible benefit. I feel like a samurai sharpening a blade just gently, methodically rubbing mineral oil into a big piece of wood like an idiot. It's terrific.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

We should vote as soon as possible on legislation to explicitly deny President Trump the authorization to drag us into a conflict in Middle East that could get countless Americans killed and waste trillions of dollars.
