I won’t change my politics, I don’t care if they have security vulnerabilities, it would break all my workflows!

What’s funny is if you changed the text to β€œscientists are mystified as to what autism feels like” this comic would become incredibly relatable

The next government shutdown will be caused by the House of Feelings refusing to approve the Chamber of Reason's appropriation bill.
It was a mistake to give them veto powers, but unfortunately the Council of Foresight hadn't been established yet.

Neurodivergent life is remembering that time someone mocked you eating shrimp by saying β€œthe ocean called; they're running out of shrimp!” and realising too late that you could’ve replied β€œWell, the Jerk Store called, and they're running out of you!”

It never even occurred to me that you could parse it by meaning, it’d be like saying β€œGermany is named after disease” or β€œNorway is named after shocked disbelief”

And forcing trans people to give this information to landlords and employers who will in turn discriminate against them protects whom exactly?

It’s worth noting that in many European countries ID cards do misgender trans people!
In fact that’s the main reason I moved to the UK when I did, I didn’t see myself transitioning in a country that would’ve forced me to be constantly outed to everyone!

Weird, I seem to have the opposite problem to other people, I could never get TouchID to work reliably, on any device, but don’t really have issues with FaceID

And it doesn't spread from human to human, so there isn't the same herd immunity effect as with other vaccines like measles etc

And if you gave it to every american, even with the risk of severe reactions being just 1 in 10,000, you’d still end up hospitalizing thousands of people just because of the numbers involved.

Tbh I used to be incredibly hairy and it was the only way i found that i could actually get rid of the hair on my legs (razors would constantly jam and it’d take hours, epilators would hurt too much and not be able to remove some hairs, even professionals weren’t able to fully wax them 😩)

But I haven’t had the opportunity to use Classic Mac OS enough to compare and contrast the two

The NHS remains completely useless/harmful to pwME and trans people, the govt is captured by racists obsessed with cutting disability benefits. But I guess non-minorities can enjoy their 1% GDP growth.

A photo oof a Macintosh SE on a Macintosh Table, a wooden stylised kind of 80s looking table, with a glass vase of blue purple (irises?), external drive, mousepad and a pen & writing folder next to it, and an actual clock. to the lower left is a cabinet attached to the inside of the desk with books, probably real manuals, standing up in it. The whole scene is in front of a stonewashed denim looking photographic backdrop.

This is as far as computing should have ever been allowed to get.
