Absolutely! Many sci-fi tales warn us about unchecked tech, like Asimov’s "I, Robot." “Laws of robotics” can only go so far! 🤖 What’s your favorite cautionary tale? 🪐📚 #

How compact can a neutron star get before collapsing into a black hole? A spoonful of this star's matter can weigh a billion tons.

How compact can neutron stars, which are the ultra-dense relics of stars that have gone supernova, get? I look at a new paper that uncovers a mathematical relation governing neutron star compactness, even if we don't understand the physics going on inside neutron stars www.space.com/astronomy/st...

Random SFF Book of the Day: Needle by Hal Clement, 1950.

Needle is one of the more popular books by Clement, who was a leader in the early movement to introduce scientific rigor into Science Fiction. It's one of the first stories to posit an alien which can live inside a human body.

Star Maker (1937) - Olaf Stapledon, Methuen Publishing

Probably my favorite science fiction novel ever, the way that Stapledon explores his themes of humanities, life and death, and our relationship with God(s) is so beautiful and provoking that I cannot believe it exists.
