Spite! Genuinely, when everything is terrible, spite can be the thing that gets a person through. On the opposite side of things I find that “looking for the helpers” as Mr Rogers said, will often get me through bad times. Also seeing people out and about with their dogs.

The system is rigged - so sorry you’re going through this. Truly believe there is a *less terrible* gig out there (having felt similarly myself but doing okay now). Capitalism is still awful but I’m not constantly miserable and dreading every shift. Wishing the same (or better!) for you. 🫂

Fwiw the Cascades train has been great the few times I’ve taken it. The views are amazing and you don’t get stuck in border traffic.

Extended, I find it starts to wear off around 9-10 hours after taking it.

Also worked with my pharmacist to try different doses (I’ve noticed some drs don’t titrate as gradually as others and it makes a big difference imo!)

Yeah I had to switch meds, even if in theory they do the same thing, a different med or even a different brand can have different side effects. I gotta eat breakfast before I take them too. Biggest tip though honestly is to quit/reduce caffeine at least at first. Made a huge difference for me.

Yay! I found it such a wild unexpected side effect. Like what do you mean I’m not raiding the cupboards for something salty, then sweet, then salty, then sweet etc just to get through the day?!?

(Ignore if unhelpful, thought it worth mentioning after our convo on adhd/food) If you’re considering adhd diagnosis/meds - maybe try seeing how they affect your relationship with food before any big decisions because the meds can change things pretty drastically! For me, the “food noise” went poof!

It feels weird to me too but I was wondering if I’m just still not used to the delay between patches (got caught up during late Shb patches), and that they might still address it.

Yesss it fits the questions/themes they’ve already been exploring around what makes people who they are, and especially the theme of community/friends being what saves people from their worst selves. (Also, he was so flabbergasted at there being a baby at all it just tracks.)
