It’s still a few months away from release but I’m at @canconsffh.bsky.social in Ottawa promoting the anthology about small town Canadian superheroes called Super Canucks that Mat Del Papa and I edited together. Coming March 2026 from @latitude46pub.bsky.social I have postcards to share. #cancon2025

The Tombs of Atuan by Ursula K. Le Guin

Lots of love for our new episode and for its subject, Ursula Le Guin. Many thanks to @frankcottrellboyce.bsky.social for his insights and sharing his passion for Earthsea with us (and you). Andy, Una, Tess and Nicky x open.spotify.com/episode/0sc5...

HAD for Squares
One of my favorite things on the site is the way a solid, square block of text looks under the banner of skulls. So... let's do a call for all and only those pieces!

Meaning, generally, one paragraph with 20 lines of text. Depending on the words themselves, I've figured out that that usually means ~280-290 words.

If you want to be real specific (and, tbh, I'd love it if you do), you can figure that out for your piece exactly with HAD WYSISYG formatter:

https://www.havehashad.com/pages/wysiwyg

No real theme or anything. Mostly just give me text that looks like perfect squares of text.

You can send up to 3 different pieces (submit them together please).

Submissions will be capped at 150 β€” so, you (probably) know the deal: get 'em in fast.

If you're reading this, you probably have a pretty good idea of what I/HAD like, but some stuff that jumps to my mind:

Submissions will open at 10 a.m. ET, Tuesday, June 10.

   Thanks!

looking for SQUARE blocks of text.

what that means, vaguely: ~280-290 words, no linebreaks, no paragraph breaks.
what that means, specifically: 20 lines of text w/ HAD formatting:

I’m so pleased to share this lovely cover reveal for my new book of poems, The Pollination Field, w/ Turnstone Press. You can pre-order at the link below. This year, as I’m dealing with a very painful hip and body, a Sudbury launch won’t happen until summer.
