You have a big misunderstanding of farms. They aren’t comparable to individual federal employees. They are humongous machines with thousands of moving parts. And like I said, there is no internal market for food crops or feed crops because we have a huge surplus of food in the USA.

We have already been through this crisis in the last Trump presidency but it was a smaller tariff and only with China. It cost us about 64,000 jobs. We lost hundreds of millions of dollars. Farms can’t just “adjust” that fast. There is no market internally. The USA has a surplus of food in general.
