I had a tooth pulled on Thursday. It's the first time I've had any major dental anyting since I was 25 and had my four impacted wisdom teeth out which by the way gave me absolute terror of ever going to the dentist again. anyway I've slept 20 hours out of 24 since then and somehow it's now Monday.

One of my favourites is curried chickpeas with potatoes and onions. I also cheat by cooking them in carrot cashew ginger soup from pac foods. there is no such thing as too much ginger.

everything about that movie is perfect and the only thing that makes it even MORE perfect is the animated series.

As somebody who spent about 4 years writing fanfic about Voyager's lower decks characters (and running an archive themed about same), I was definitely more heartbroken than amused...

This week's #StrangeNewWorlds was my everything.

I always felt so terrible for Joe Carey's wife and kids. That must have been a heartbreakingly difficult communique for Janeway to make in real-time.

also I CANNOT STATE THIS ENOUGH this movie had an incredibly incredibly solid script. All the bells and whistles in the world don't mean a damn thing if the story itself isn't there. I know Disney/Pixar throw things at the wall to see what sticks for years, but I'm a fan of doing that in pre-pro.

also it's really hard to continue publishing a series if people aren't actually buying the individual books. This ESPECIALLY applies to comics where people are like 'ah I'll wait for the trade' and it's like you know what, my dude? it could end up being canceled at issue 9 and never be collected.

Every time I speak to a customer service representative, unless something went really wrong, I always ask to be transferred to the supervisor to tell them how great their help was so it can be noted in their HR file. Because they only ever hear from people when things go wrong, on the worst days.
