Taking a break from knitting and crocheting to embroider a little something for the holiday baskets we give to our family and friends. We fill them with lots of homemade goodies we make throughout the year and it's one of my newer favorite traditions 😊

I teach a class at a local art studio that blends art/craft with D&D and I just finished the new character sheet for this round. We had so much fun in the last class and it's those kids finishing the second half of the quest this session. I can't wait!

And, to wrap it up, I love that what resonated with you about the book is not the same for me, even if similar. I think it speaks to the quality & craftsmanship of the author to be able to illicit a wide variety of feelings and sentiments amongst readers.

Overall, the idea that we all are trying to be more than we need to be or more than what others need us to be (Breadlee is a perfect example) does us a disservice instead of realizing we are enough as we are, even with room to grow.

My life looks very different from what I imagined it would be when I was younger and it has taken me a lot of time to be ok with that. I really enjoyed Fern's growth throughout the novel to eventually reach a place of comfort in the uncertainty. I related with that on a deep level.

There is! I think it came out in November of last year, I think? It's honestly my favorite one so far.

I helped myself out this time and grabbed 4 little magnetic blocks, 3 matching and 1 different, so that way as I did a row I would pull the block off and put it to the side. When I made my way through, I restarted.

Glad I'm not the only one on the struggle bus sometimes lol

I had to frog the start of my The Simple Thing project because I forgot to count my rows and was pretty sure I started a increase row before I should. I made it to row 14 🙃

The yarn submerged in the dye bath with all the colors: blue, chestnut, terra cotta, and saffron.

Today's inspiration is the eastern bluebird.

I started with loosely twisted hanks this time to keep some of the cream color. Can't wait to see what it looks like dry and finally worked up into a swatch!
