I often wonder what's in a name. As a kid, I asked my mum why I was called Owen, she said she wanted a Welsh name like her father.

I embraced it after learning about Owain Glyndŵr, being named after a Welsh hero is cool.

I don't know why but I rarely lean into my Scottish heritage. I have it on both sides of my family. One side rooted in Glasgow & the other further north to the shores of Loch Lomond & the Canonaich or Clan of Buchanan.
