Changing the narrative of lung cancer to improve prevention for non-smokers
A team led by Dr Robin Urquhart is examining the effects of environmental exposures in non-smokers to help detect lung cancer earlier and save lives.

Toenails tell toxic tale of radon gas for U of C scientists
U of C scientists are collecting Calgarians' toenails to track the prevalence of lung cancer from radon gas.

Outdoor workers are 3 times as likely to develop skin cancer as indoor workers. Dr @cherylepeters.bsky.social will use existing data to estimate the rates and costs of skin cancers caused by workplace sun exposure. The goal: to guide national efforts to reduce sun exposure and prevent future cases.
