Happy Thanksgiving to all! This year I am once again thankful for the real hero of the holiday.
Of course I am speaking of the inventor of the "Jump to Recipe" button.

I agree. I would rather have something in the back to keep me paced without having to check the time on the computer or sneak a glance at my phone.
I have considered borrowing the big countdown clock that the swim team puts on the pool deck until admin relents, but I'm not that much of a rebel π
What if I told you that there are no clocks in our classrooms and that the decision was intentional?

Me, on a Friday afternoon with my class: Ok, let's get started...
My students, who have collectively decided that they want to see if they can get me off topic:
Or when they read half of the directions, and then stop just before the part that answers their question.

15.11.2024 14:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is the biggest thing that holds me back from sharing a lot of the time. Most of what I do just feels derivative of something that someone else has done "better" and has already shared that I just lurk and scroll instead of engaging.
14.11.2024 19:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Mostly CS here. For physics I use subscripts but constantly fight with myself over the length of subscripts, especially with forces. Too long, they become unreadable and inelegant but too short and you lose meaning and connection.

Bluesky really needs a poll function. Anyway, until then feel free to argue in the comments.
Naming Conventions: CamelCase, underscores or dashes?
I love this! Definitely going to try it with my AP C class despite the demographic differences (I am at an all-boys HS).

I'll be honest in that statistics is one of my weaker subjects. Like, I can do box-and-whisker plots and I can find the mean, median, and mode of a data set. But linear regression? That's where I draw the line.

Don't get me started on backronyms.
