I don't think we're disagreeing here. All I'm saying is that they were bad people. Maybe they were worse to Jordan, but they sucked in general.

That wasn't because he was Michael Jordan. They were a bunch of assholes who did that crap to everyone. Terrible people on a terrible team.

Kind of maddening that the #Cubs have the second-best record in baseball and they're not leading their own division. I don't want to see anyone hurt, but maybe can we get a hex that gives the Brewers some food poisoning for a week?

Sadly, in my experience in Texas it’s Gen X. We apparently suck, which is kind of shocking.

Everything you wrote is correct. But, to many people who find him amusing, those negatives are actually his charm.

Not a fan of the meek moves at the deadline, but have to give credit where it's due. Kittredge did the job.

The #Cubs front office is trying to treat us like Dug. No major trades, hey, look, pretty All-Star game coming. Nonsense.

This is my fault. I continue to get my hopes up around the trade deadline and during free agency. My brain knows this is not a team that is willing to make the big move. But my heart always hopes it will.

I have accept that this front office and ownership group are never, ever going to be bold.

This is NOT a gamechanger. Twenty minutes for this front office to actually do something. Not feeling very optimistic.

Unless something radically changes in the next 25 minutes, this is not a serious team or front office. So aggravating.

I am destined to go to sleep tonight cursing myself for ever becoming a Cubs fan. Tick tock, mfers.

As a transplant to DFW and a subscriber, this fills my heart with (muted) joy. Still looking for a magic cure for what ails newspapers in general. Not sure that a cure exists, which means local news will continue to be imperiled.

It has taken much restraint on my part, but when my friends and neighbors have been confronted with issues in their own household they would have otherwise opposed because they hadn't yet experienced it -- trans kid, etc. -- I do not castigate them. I embrace them.

Maybe add another category: Schools I'd never let my child apply to because they are cowards.

Doesn’t this alienate ~80% of parents who would consider paying for their child’s Columbia education. Setting aside everything else, this is amputating the school’s recruitment efforts.
