Truly an insane run of items for the Westminster City Council.

Also on the agenda: opposing Prop 50. Which is especially funny coming from the people who messed with redistricting to try and get Vice Chair Foley into a different district.

On Tuesday, the OC Board of Supervisors will vote to direct the Registrar to remove non-humans from voter rolls. This item, from the two Republican members, comes after a Republican woman was caught registering her dog.

I’ve understood it to mean they’ve skipped over that item on the agenda and will come back to it later.

Huntington Beach is getting a multi-million dollar OCTA "Complete Streets grant. The staff presentation, however, does not use the phrase "complete streets" once. Perhaps that name is too woke for them (but the money is not, apparently).

SHOCKING to me that an OC city would implement a density-based housing project moratorium, but it's to prevent projects that are too LOW-DENSITY. Westminster plans on having MINIMUM density requirements in their housing overlay zones, we love to see it.

This sidewalk simply does not cut it if there are gonna be two major centers next to each other.

The Orange City Council on Tuesday will receive a presentation on the "vision" for the West Katella gateway area that can complement future OC Vibe and Riverwalk developments across the river in Anaheim. My biggest question: how to get between the two safely

I imagine "FREE" was one of the main drivers of student ridership on Metrolink. I hope they can sustain these numbers with the 50% discount.

WHEREAS, the duly elected members of the Orange City Council find that restricting Federal law enforcement officers and agents from wearing masks or disguises while interacting with the public and upholding the public’s right to request, and be shown, proper identification when approached, with limited exceptions, will enhance transparency and accountability; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Orange resolves as follows: Section 1: That from this date, all Federal law enforcement officers and agents operating within the City of Orange, will be required to wear clearly visible identification. Section 2: That Federal law enforcement agents will refrain from utilizing disguises or face coverings of any kind while operating in the City of Orange. Section 3: Such Federal law enforcement agents shall present proper identification upon request.

5.1. Consideration of a resolution relating to the preservation of the public trust in law enforcement officers and law enforcement agencies. (Barrios & Gutierrez) Deliberate and provide direction to staff. Recommended Action: Attachments: Draft Resolution

Out of all the Orange County cities, I did not expect the City of Orange to be one to consider a resolution banning ICE (and other Federal law enforcement) from wearing masks.

Happy to have voted to support this at Planning Commission!

It's just a bit ridiculous that the El Toro Water District will be voting on raising their residents' rates at 7:30 in the morning during a Special meeting (rather than a regularly scheduled one).

Huntington Beach City Council got called out by the @aclusocal.bsky.social for Brown Act violations.

Their response: "We didn't do it, but if we did, we'll stop."

Santa Ana will consider a resolution opposing SCAQMD Clean Air Rules... that were voted down last week. Truly don't understand the logic here.
