When Trump's brownshirts are kicking down your door at 4am, you might pause a moment to reflect on who has all the guns, and who thought the 2A was a quaint anachronism.

I haven't watched a lot of #RobertRedford 's movies. But I have to say, "All Is Lost" (2013) made an impression on me.

Just one guy, alone, on a sinking sailboat in the middle of the ocean. Barely a word of dialog in the entire film. But it was gripping.

Have to watch it again now.

Librarians are some of the staunchest defenders of free speech. Respect. But it's usually the "Right" that they're fending off. It will be a test when the call comes from inside their own house.

I actually bought two copies of your book. My thought was to put one of them in circulation somehow.

Perhaps in the "Little Library" box on our street. My concern is that some "cultured despiser" might see fit to throw it in the garbage, rather than risk anyone actually read it.

That is kind of perverse, considering that resisting the rise of a wannabe dictator like Trump is exactly why they have the 2nd Amendment down there.

Shouldn't they stay there and join the Resistance? There is large contingent of liberal-minded gun owners in the US that oppose Trump.

Based on crime stats, Warwick Cairns calculated that if you actually _wanted_ your kid to be abducted by a stranger, you would have to leave them outside, alone, for 750,000 years to reach a 50/50 chance of that happening.

And after the first 100,000 years, they aren't even cute anymore.

So... they gave you a licence to buy prohib firearms, because you convinced them that you have a legit interest in making educational videos with them. But then added so many restrictions that you can't actually produce the videos using those guns.

That's some peak Canada right there.

While we're talking about overwrought hysteria about exceptionally rare risks, it would be interesting to see a row added for "victim of mass shooting".

It'll be thinner than the "lightning" line. Maybe a lot thinner, depending how expansively you define "mass shooting".

The fact that it appears to be a Chinese-made phone with Trump branding is hardly surprising. I think the last cellphone that actually was manufactured in (North) America was the BlackBerry.
