Fred VanVleet isn't travelling with the Rockets full-time yet, but yes, he did make the trip to Toronto. Sounds like his rehab is going well; he just got off crutches. Word is he plans to be in town for a few days and hopes to attend Game 6 of the World Series here on Friday.

When the president is destroying national landmarks, murdering fishermen, raising prices because he's angry over a Reagan video, and kidnapping parents in front of their crying children is probably not an ideal time to have a lazy, completely incompetent legislative branch perpetually on vacation.

The sell-off after the strike brought back crap. No way the team was going to be competitive. They should've held on to the roster to try to win in 1995 (then trade for better returns if season didn't work out). Unfortunately, they were small minded/short sighted; they gave up.

@mitchmelnick.bsky.social An Expos fan here; I didn't watch the Netflix documentary, but you summed up well what happened with the franchise on the show. The 1994 strike was the last straw; the local business people gave away any chance of future stability/new stadium for the team.

When idiot Ron Schneider was born in 1963, the infant mortality rate was 29/1,000. It is now close to 5/1,000. So, no, children were NOT healthier when he was a kid. And he was, clearly, dropped on his head.

Fiscal policy experts are questioning the legality of the move.

Help!
We're drowning in corruption
βOne atrocity after another just this past weekβ¦If youβre fine with all that, you should ask yourself whatβs broken inside of youβ¦The true danger of corruption is that evil ceases to be regarded as such by otherwise good people. It just becomes the new normal.β
