Glad I’m seeing these pop up at more events. So often signs don’t stop drivers, they get confused go around then get frustrated & extremely mad that people are at a public event. This will keep those people out of the event with their cars. So simple and effective too (video demonstration wow)!

Probably many. Pickup trucks and SUVs are the majority of vehicles on our roads. Comically large vehicles vs what people really need on a day to day basis.

And media needs to stop framing it like this, change how it is written, change how people think about crimes like this. People are often influenced by the media they are exposed to and its inherent biases.

They often “get away with murder”. Often times the criminal justice system has inherent bias in favour of drivers no matter what the crime was. Drivers get lesser sentences, there needs to be reform towards justice to victims.

True, but LinkedIn is where it happens a lot and people there just don’t care. It is a shallow site, even if it comes out that it was stolen I doubt it would hurt this guy’s reputation, his followers would shrug it off. Business world is often filled with theft of ideas without credit so long.

This is disappointing but seems par for the course on LinkedIn. Business bros love AI & passing other people’s hard work off as their own. It is a pretty scummy site. If you can you should report it, maybe a DMCA takedown request, but not sure LinkedIn will care enough to take action. Best of luck.

But seriously the infill is good, it is near a main road, there are similar density stuff few blocks away, and compared to a parking lot it is a good addition. Seems no buildings or sites of importance was lost and much was gain.

Didn’t he promote and give breaks to that EV battery factory that cancelled or halted building their new Ontario factory last year. That was supposed to bring many jobs. Bets on these big projects don’t always turn out producing what was promised to government.

I think this is the main reason. Often times they are better lit than some of the streets. Makes me want to use them at night. What sucks is you can tell when the trail is enters the city of Waterloo as the lights abruptly end. In winter when the sun sets just after 4pm I wish there was lights.

And it is not so much the tax breaks. They also tend to get deals on electric rates to attract them too, which gets passed on to citizens of the area. Not sure if that would work here though as our power supply is setup much different than many American cities in terms of ownership and billing.

If they want to setup shop here, alright, but like every other business they got to get permits and approvals and pay the full cost of setup and running their business here.

Definitely not worth it. More perfect union has tons of videos on this topic showing how they are ruining American cities and are making citizens life’s miserable just to make big companies rich. We do not need to be giving these companies tax breaks to move here.
