She's just set fire to a lab beneath a building, and killed a dozen terrorists. All in short order. She wants coffee and breakfast now.

Sleep can come later.

She pulled out a slip of paper. It had a number on it.

"I have a burner. Text only. In case you need to reach me and we get separated..." She held it out, between two pinched fingers.

"Otherwise I'm going comms quiet. Don't worry. It's encrypted."

"Middle men, or a shell. I'm thinking our buyer has the goods."

She looked him up and down, nodding as she enjoyed his shift in demeanor. Cute. He was pretending to be her. The impersonation was always his sweetest flattery.

"Maybe they were always caught up in it."

"You came armed for something... Substantial."

She nodded, measuring her pistol and who knows what else she has tucked away against his armament.

"Came about the rumors too, same as you. Viral payload transaction. I didn't think as much of them until EMP took out my chopper."

She shrugged. She knew more or she didn't. He was on 'need-to-know' as ever. She did walk a bit closer to him, looking over what he had with him.

He shakes her head with a good natured smirk. She never got tired of how protective he got of her, even if he was a smidge overbearing at times.

"What brought you in?"

He had an grin in equal measure. Reliable, sweet, and always just perfectly on edge.

She'd been training him well.

"Just a few light bruises from when I jumped a roof. Thanks for asking."
