If your outrage depends on who did it, it was never about protecting children.

Marjorie would have to go on one hell of an apology tour before being welcomed to the resistance.

When rape victims are treated like national security threats, then maybe the nation has lost its moral footing.

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

Lots going on but from outside it seems that at least part of the calculus was that flight disruption for middle class and up travelers matters more than life disruption for untold numbers who’ll be deprived of health care.

It took a courageous Republican bucking his party to give America affordable healthcare and eight cowardous Democrats bucking their party to give take it away.

There’s a young southern woman on tt doing an experiment: calling churches & asking if they can help her get baby formula, saying she can’t afford it. Of the 30+ she’s called, nearly every church has said no. The ones who said yes were:

Black Baptist Churches
A Mosque
A small Appalachian church

Yup, here's the annoying thing. You have to give Schumer a little credit, just a smidge

He baited them. They would never accept, not due to Epstein and ACA fights...

And it reframed it as "Republicans reject settlement." for his super-cave compromise...

Once upon a time, American soldiers handed out food to Germans because *they* had followed a fascist madman into national ruin.

How times change.

Flour, cornmeal, sugar, powdered milk/evaporated milk/condensed milk, baking powder, seasoning & spices, various cooking oils are all considered luxuries this time of year. Crackers, rice, soups, and beans help stretch meals.

I don't know what will happen in NYC tonight, but I do know that regardless of outcome, any number of public figures, celebrities, politicians and institutions that oppose Mamdani have done so with a level of rhetorical ugliness, racism, and dishonesty that should neither be forgotten nor forgiven.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

I continue to wonder when Americans will decide enough is enough. As Frederick Douglass reminds us:
