We've gotten back into dvds from the library, especially for movies.

How has higher ed strayed so far from our true purpose? It is heartbreaking. It is sad that I now say that my most pressing goal is working to reduce the number of students who leave university with no degree but lots of debt. Not educating and mentoring, but trying to prevent life altering debt.

I think students are capable of decent feedback, but these surveys are poorly designed. We should be asking students if the LMS was clearly laid out, was the faculty member prepared for class, were the learning objectives clear, did the faculty member reply to questions in a timely manner etc.
