Excellent Ed Davey visit to the North West. Talking to SEND parents while I ‘guarded’ the cake followed by some canvassing of course.

End a very long week of travelling and work for me. First night without meetings tonight and I intend to do absolutely nothing.

Finally home after 3 days of travelling and photographing around Wales.

Great fun to catch up with my former ALDC colleague Glyn who will be a fantastic member of the Senedd 🗳️

Happy the Govt has u-turned on the cancelling of the May elections but I’m gobsmacked by the incompetence of the Labour govt.

Ah well, as the only party that can mathematically remove Labour from power in Preston, onwards Lib Dem soldiers!! 🫡🔶🗳️

My little project for this evening is complete. Nice to switch off my brain for a few hours 🎨

Full day with team Stockport today, canvassing in Bramhall in the morning followed by meetings, fighting RISO gremlins and my first trip to Stockport town hall to work with the councillor group.

One month into the new job & I’m absolutely loving it. So many brilliant volunteers, cllr & staff. Although I’ve lost count of the number of spreadsheets I now use 📊

Fate even threw in a snap Parliamentary by-election for me to look after

I’m lucky to have a job in something I’m passionate about

Back from the hospital to find Norman has eaten a box of eggs 🥚- to be fair I’ve seen worse behaviour from humans today 😆

After a rough week of grim family news it was nice to ignore the world for an evening. I did re-enter reality with 60+ messages though 😆

First ever 40K game at Element Games

First ever game of Warhammer Kill Team done tonight 🎯🔫

Came away with a 15-11 victory against the Death Watch despite really struggling to remember any ploys and buffs I had available.

Quality game though

We can make a pretty good assumption but importantly need to keep campaigning because there won’t be enough time once a final decision has been made.

Preston council may not have anymore elections 👎 but we are already out campaigning for the new unitary council elections in 2027 🗳️

Not a surprise though. As the leader of Preston Tories said, “(Labour) don’t want them, because they think they will get an absolute trouncing – not by us, but by the Liberal Democrats and Reform.”

Just been announced that Preston’s elections in May have been cancelled at the request of the local Labour Party.

As the leader of the largest opposition party in the city we are disappointed at this decision. Lots of residents in our canvassing are saying it stinks of them running scared.

Canvassing with Julie in Cadley followed by meeting Mabel the Labrador and then a german treat 🇩🇪 for tea 🌭

Labour might chicken out of the elections in May but we’ll keep campaigning all year round as always.

If we don’t get the chance to beat them in May it will just give us more time to beat them even harder in 2027 💪

Really enjoyable first week working full time for the Lib Dems. Making sure my local campaigning keeps going.
