The Trump Administration Is Recklessly Axing Funding and Staff for America’s National Parks, Forests, and Public Lands
The number of visitors to America’s public lands remains at an all-time high, while the Trump administration has made drastic cuts to popular agencies.
New CAP analysis finds that the Trump administration’s proposed 2026 budget includes a nearly $4 billion cut to national parks, national forests, wildlife refuges, wilderness and recreation areas, and more—a cut in funding by more than a third of 2024 levels.

This week's heat wave is a stark reminder that federal and state policymakers must take action to protect workers and to reduce the health and economic damages brought on by work exposure to extreme heat. www.americanprogress.org/article/extr...

Who exactly is winning under the Trump administration? Not people like Cody who just returned home from military leave to a price spike in his electric bill.
➡️ Share this video and let us know if you also got a notice that your electric bill is going up.

One thing that cannot be said enough (honestly barely being said at all) about republican's big horrible bill is that it is fully eviscerating US federal climate policy.
The Inflation Reduction Act was finally the moment we took major federal action... and republicans are about to kill it. 1/11

House Republicans just passed their big billionaire bailout bill — a bill that threatens the loss of jobs, raises costs, and defunds programs dedicated to reducing pollution ON TOP of large cuts to healthcare access and food assistance. This is not “beautiful” — it’s so ugly and will hurt Americans

As extreme heat conditions become worse, and with the federal administration unlikely to protect workers, state policymakers must fill the void. Policymakers don't have to start from scratch. They can draw on CAP recommendations here: www.americanprogress.org/article/stat...

For decades, wildfires have been getting more severe—putting lives, homes, and lands at risk of destruction along the way. This escalating threat is a direct consequence of fossil-fueled climate change.

@neeratanden.bsky.social is spot on: Rolling back IRA climate investments won’t just pollute our communities. It’ll raise energy costs for American families.
House Republicans should remember that gutting clean energy tax credits means higher bills for their constituents.

Ready for your gas prices to go up?
House Republicans are proposing to end almost all federal clean energy investments, which will drive up the cost of gas and line the pockets of Big Oil execs.

All this while oil & gas companies rake in profits. The Trump administration’s push to expand LNG exports even further means higher energy costs & more pollution. And it will be everyday Americans left to pay the price with their wallets and their health, not them. ⛽💰😷

💸💡 That shift is expected to drive up energy prices for U.S. industry by as much as 101%. And consumers will be paying for it through increased costs for goods and services, on top of increased household energy bills.

Factors affecting natural gas prices - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)
Factors that affect natural gas prices in general and seasonally.
As we started selling natural gas overseas, prices at home stopped falling and began rising. Between 2019 and 2024, residential gas bills went up. Why? Because now the American market is competing with global demand. 🌎 www.eia.gov/energyexplai...

On day 1, Trump delivered what he promised to the oil execs for $1 billion:
💰pushing LNG exports that will raise electricity bills $10/mo (per DOE)
💰opening up the refuge in Alaska
💰Fighting against EVs, which will raise gasoline prices 15% (per Rhodium)

Opinion | China Will Be Thrilled if Trump Kills America’s Green Economy (Gift Article)
President Trump seems poised to roll back the very incentives that are reviving American manufacturing.
Granholm nails it.
• You can kiss our manufacturing renaissance goodbye if they rollback the laws that made it possible.
• China would love to see us leave the clean energy future to them.
• Our growing power grid needs new wind, solar, batteries, and more.
