I've never liked the strategy of just sitting in and "playing proper cricket". If you don't get bad balls to hit away then eventually this attack will bowl a ball that will get you out.

As we saw in the 2nd Test, defensive sturdiness doesn't work for this team. Less said about MV the better

That average is heading in the right direction then haha. His average of 43.06 Vs Australia is definitely carrying a lot of weight.
