I should note that I come cheap, don't need those pesky benefits and don't even know how to use AI, so it'll be all natural intelligence reviewing your stuff.

Personal news: I need a job. Honest self assessment dictates it be part time 15-30 hours a week and at home. But if you need someone pretty good at digesting criminal disclosure, reviewing icky autopsies and pictures, listening to hours of tape, creating timelines, wit databases, let me know.

Feds bring charges against alleged Tucson carjacker, including 2 eligible for death penalty A Mexican man accused in a fatal carjacking was indicted on five counts by a federal grand jury Wednesday, including two that could result in life in prison or the death penalty. The case is at the ce...

The local feds knew Conover wouldn't seek death and I'm guessing they're running that up the chain at DOJ...which is now made of colorful plastic and has missing links so they probably go for the death penalty. Gotta refill that row.

I've developed a repetitive stress injury building a list of literary agents to submit to, so this is just gonna be easier if you come to me. Does it work like that? It should work like that.

I used to have two kinds of people I called clients, lawyers and prisoners. And it used to be that politicians reminded me of the former, but these days....

This guy is guilty as all hell.

I'm within a few thousand words of my word count goal for the book and am just about out of shit to say, so it looks like it'll work out perfectly.

This guy won't remember shit but remembers all sorts of shit about this deal. He's spent a lot of time over the years hiding shit and I'd bet it weighs on him like nothing else. It's guilt, maybe the one thing he might actually regret, because he knows how fucked he'll be when caught.

Or even the other people in that picture in the article. Khalil got railroaded by an angry crooked prosecutor. He literally did nothing. Drayton was convicted on bad forensic medical evidence. Milke put 2 dudes on the row. Not the same and I'll take all the shit from my old colleagues for saying it.

Yes, her case was overturned, but not the cases of her codefendants who remained on the row. Yes the cop who arrested her was a lying POS. Yes the correct remedy was dismissal. But it's not an innocence case in the same way Krone and Youngblood absolutely got fucked by the system. Or Barry Jones.

The price of innocence Arizona is finally bringing justice to the wrongfully convicted, on a trial basis.

Good, about time, probably too restrictive and for the love of everything holy stop putting Milke in with people like Krone and Youngblood. I love the folks at AZ Justice Project, but it's just not the same. Bugs the fuck out of me.

Probably help if they weren't acting like the controlled opposition all the time. The ones who don't seem pretty popular. Of course, the party doesn't like those people. Which seems controlled opposition-y.

It can *suggest* those details. And like most of these pattern analysis types of forensics are subject to the interpretation of the examiner, who may or may not be an idiot. It should be used in conjunction with other facts and evidence to come to conclusions.

Lallemand said he borrowed his friend’s boat and was fishing near Venise-en-QuΓ©bec, which is roughly 15 kilometres north of the U.S. border at the northern tip of Lake Champlain. He says he has been fishing for decades and is adamant that he was in Canadian waters when the Coast Guard showed up and told him to turn off his engine, to which he complied.

The three officers told him he was in U.S. territory.

β€œI said, β€˜No, I’m very sorry, I’m in Canada.’ And I said I’m polite enough to talk to you guys but you cannot arrest me. β€˜You can’t come across the border and pick me up’ but they did,” he recalled.

Lallemand started his engine and said he wanted to talk with the officers by the shore, but the Coast Guard followed and tried to push him into the U.S., which is what caused him to go overboard.

β€œThey’re tying my boat to their boat. They’re not even taking care of me. The third time I went down, coming out with water in my mouth, spitting it out, I said throw me a buoy,” he said.

Once on their vessel, he said he was aggressively put in handcuffs. β€œI never saw somebody so angry,” he said.

He was then handed over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, who fingerprinted him, put him in a jail cell with his clothes soaking wet, and gave him a β€œdirty” blanket.

A Quebec fisherman who was fishing 15 kilometers north of the US border was essentially kidnapped by US Border Patrol, who capsized his boat and dragged him to an American prison cell.

In any normal time this'd be quite the international incident, y'know?
