04.08.2025 16:30 — 👍 6 🔁 3 💬 1 📌 0Our database compiles information obtained via public records requests to local medical examiners, coroners, police, and other sources, and compared this data case-by-case with CBP’s data.
04.08.2025 16:30 — 👍 4 🔁 2 💬 1 📌 0We detail our methodology and findings in this report. Our analysis shows that CBP undercounts migrant deaths by 20-40%, and for some years, we document a death toll as much as four times higher than official figures.
04.08.2025 16:30 — 👍 4 🔁 3 💬 1 📌 0This data will not bring anyone back or undo the decades of suffering and death caused by US border policy, and it does not account for the tens of thousands of disappeared—but it is the most comprehensive record to date of people who died crossing the border.
04.08.2025 16:30 — 👍 4 🔁 2 💬 1 📌 0As we move into the hottest and deadliest months on the US-Mexico border, No More Deaths is releasing a comprehensive database and map of recovered migrant remains for the entire southern land border.
04.08.2025 16:30 — 👍 21 🔁 21 💬 1 📌 0Violence like this occurs seldom to aid workers, but DAILY to those crossing the borderlands.
There is no justification for state violence.
Federal agents with Homeland Security drew firearms at humanitarian aid workers and proceeded to forcefully detain them.
01.08.2025 17:57 — 👍 12 🔁 9 💬 1 📌 0We fear that as more public lands become military zones we will witness increased militarization on tribal lands, escalated violence for those crossing, and the persecution of those who render humanitarian aid.

Once again like the student detentions and like CECOT, the Trump administration is using immigration detention, which both parties built up, as a testing ground for its authoritarianism...

Haiti Travel Advisory Travel Advisory September 18, 2024Haiti - Level 4: Do Not Travel Updated to reflect additional information on crime. Do not travel to Haiti due to kidnapping, crime, civil unrest, and limited health care. Country Summary: Since March 2024, Haiti has been under a State of Emergency. Crimes involving firearms are common in Haiti. They include robbery, carjackings, sexual assault, and kidnappings for ransom. Kidnapping is widespread, and U.S. citizens have been victims and have been hurt or killed. Kidnappers may plan carefully or target victims at random, unplanned times. Kidnappers will even target and attack convoys. Kidnapping cases often involve ransom requests. Victims’ families have paid thousands of dollars to rescue their family members. Protests, demonstrations, and roadblocks are common and unpredictable. They often damage or destroy infrastructure and can become violent. Mob killings and assaults by the public have increased, including targeting those suspected of committing crimes.
The Trump administration is 100% lying when they claim Haiti is safe, as even their own government agencies say it is not.
Here's what the US government itself still says about Haiti. This is NOT a safe place to send people. It's a death sentence.

We need answers—now. Where is our sister Hilary Rivers? ICE took her the morning after Pride with no warning, no due process, and no communication. This is not justice—this is kidnapping. We demand transparency, accountability, and her immediate release.

U.S. military interventions in places like Guatemala + El Salvador fueled violence, displacement + even genocide. Now those fleeing the fallout are met with detention, deportation + contempt. US foreign policy has consequences. It’s time we take responsibility.

I wrote about death and disappearance at the border, and the bipartisan fascism of the US deportation/detention machine.

26.06.2025 17:15 — 👍 21 🔁 8 💬 1 📌 1Thank you to everyone who came out or donated to share your solidarity with us!
Our gratitude is immense, especially in this moment where state violence towards migrant communities across the country is on the rise.
This weekend stood as a reminder to us, at No More Deaths, that community is the strongest support and tool we have, especially at a time of escalated repression.
We remain committed to fighting for a world free of borders, violence, and oppression
Every gallon we put out on Sunday was decorated at our Saturday night event with messages of hope and care from local community members and those of you who sent messages over the week.
