There is a LOT of misinformation spread about EV’s in Canada. It’s too cold here, we are too spread out so you will have to constantly be recharging the battery, replacing the battery costs as much as buying a new car, etc. I too blame the influence of the O&G industry in Alberta and Ontario.

If only that were true. Look at marriage laws, look at what the victims are called, young women, not girls. Look at high fashion, look at the way that women and girls are portrayed on TV and in the movies this is a much larger societal issue than people are willing to recognize.

And place a limit on political contributions. Get the big money out of politics.

Only for the rich, powerful and the elite. The US is a safe haven for any criminal as long as they are rich enough.

Here’s a thought, stop relying on other countries to clean up your mess. The people of the US created this mess, the people of the US need to fix it.

Ronald Lauder, the son of EstΓ©e Lauder, uses the fortune he was born into to fund the very authoritarianism that destroyed Europe years ago. He is the architect of the Greenland scheme and the lithium deals in Ukraine.

Why? What’s to love? I’m not trying to be mean, I just don’t get it. Trump has shown Americans what their country truly is, so I ask again, what is to love about the US?

No one should believe a word coming out of her mouth when or if she did testify.

And that says a lot more about the American people as a whole, not just politicians.

The alleged progressives, are out in full force on this thread. These folks really like to create division from within don’t they. Personally, they sound a lot more like bots than any progressive I’ve ever known.

As a British Columbian/Canadian, I can’t tell you how much I despise Alberta politics. They are actively trying to destroy our country. I feel sorry for all the good hard working people of the province.

Canada’s auto industry is facing huge pressures, leaving workers and businesses in a state of uncertainty. So we’re taking control β€” and launching a new strategy that will transform the industry to be a global leader in electric vehicles.

A Secret Oil Cartel Might Have Killed Our Clean-Energy Future In a landmark antitrust case, Michigan alleges oil companies colluded to β€œcapture and kill” clean-energy and electric-vehicle efforts.

Big Oil "purchased solar and EV patents to ensure others couldn’t use them, solicited control of renewable markets and then abandoned them, and funded powerful institutions to promote false solutions, all while using trade groups to downplay the harms of fossil fuels, according to the complaint." 😠

By speaking about it publicly they bring it out into the open, which the victims have been asking for. The committee can’t hide behind their friends behind closed doors. The only way this is exposed is if it is out in the open.

I see it very differently. I see the Clinton’s saying that they are willing to testify publicly so there is no confusion regarding what they have said. Instead of hiding behind closed doors, they are going to say what they are going to say out in the open. I for one respect that.

Their greatest fear is the working class/working poor will figure out their grift. Capitalism only benefits the rich. As long as people embrace the US’s ultra capitalist society, you are all screwed.

Ayn Rand was not a witch, I suggest using a different descriptor to apply to her, those of us who identify as witches do not appreciate the comparison.

It sounds like you have a lot of unresolved trauma, and I’m sorry you went through that. But, your government sent you to Vietnam to fight a war you had no business being in. Your anger is displaced my friend.

Perhaps they should focus on the Government that sent them over there and abandoned them when they got home instead of focusing their anger on someone who was opposed to the war. I am constantly surprised at how stupid some people are.

We tried that twice in BC, both times it got voted down because the majority of those that voted either can’t comprehend how another system could work or flat out refuse to change. It was very disheartening both times.

Yeah, they are the ones doing the damage. πŸ™„ you might not like the way they are trying to deal with the Republicans but they are NOT the problem. Republicans are the ONLY ones who can fix this. Anyone who thinks the Democrats are in any way responsible has zero idea how government works.

89,278,948 US citizens didn’t vote, and Trump won the popular vote. MAGA isn’t the only problem.

It isn’t just MAGA that is responsible for Trump getting elected, it want just MAGA that voted for him. And anyone who voted independent or didn’t vote at all are equally responsible.
