Migrants enrich our culture, contribute to our economy, and become our friends and neighbours.

Just when you thought they couldn't be any more cruel Labour have decided to block refugees arriving by small boat from becoming British citizens.

This awful decision does nothing to improve the lives of people in this country.

I came for the great writing, I stayed for the New Model Army reference. I saw them so many times in my teenage years.

My ancestors were wolves...

Loved the sleeper trains. Still love long train journeys and the idea of going to sleep in one place and waking up in another!

In hindsight it was great that they trusted me but I'm not sure I'd earned it at that age. Favourite place? Probably Rome or Venice (I stayed in a hostel in a castle).

My parents allowed me to go interrailing by myself aged 16. It really opened my mind but my mum didn't sleep the whole time I was away

This is disappointing. We lack both quality palliative care and assisted dying options—they shouldn’t be mutually exclusive. Watching my mother suffer unbearably in her final months with a brain tumour, desperate to end her pain but unable to, was devastating. No one should endure such agony.

My parents were very accommodating - every Christmas I would give them a wish list of Black Flag, Dead Kennedys and Discharge titles and they'd head off to the record shop. I imagine they were mortified having to ask for something called Frankenchrist but I appreciate it even more now they're gone.
