I am a local who has been going to SDCC for over 20 years. Because of great personal trauma & financial hardship this year I am unable to go and would appreciate an alternative way to enjoy the community events and gatherings I have long ‘been in the sun to burn’ for. We lost Bruno yesterday to a horrific, weeklong pancreatitis flare-up, a condition we didn’t know he had. He passed after a rollercoaster few days in the hospital where he went into respiratory distress from IV fluids built up around the lungs. I am in such despair &we feel the emptiness. RIP bubba💔

People ask how we are expected to live and work every day when all this is happening, and I don’t really think we should be acting normal? I don’t care about vacation posts or whatever? I just want to see the voices who need the world to listen be uplifted until the world fights back.

On break from most socials at the moment (fyi if you’ve seen me disappear). I need a break, but am also not really interested in seeing posts about anything that ignores the reality & suffering being lived through in this moment. Platforms feel really strange right now.
