Maybe “tokens” is closer to part of how humans process text information (including software).

Whereas human processing of pictures seems more reliant on an underlying (subconscious) conceptual model of the physical world.

May help explain why AI text is a more convincing illusion than AI pics.

The friction is the point. In pretty much *every* field where LLMs are being deployed to replicate human creativity, it's very clear the ghouls behind it don't understand the things they're trying to replicate have value because of effort & because of human connection. Travel insurance doesn’t really matter for emergency treatment, in places with free healthcare. What it matters for is having to rearrange flights etc., that you missed because you were in hospital.

It also matters big-time if you are travelling somewhere without free healthcare (e.g. US).

But they might *sometimes* deny you a visa to enter the country (esp. residential visas) if you have medical conditions that are liable to turn into emergencies. 2/2

Yes, pretty much every health system with free health care extends this to all people who present at an emergency department; even non-citizens; even illegal immigrants.

At the very least, the idea that you could comment, on a photo of an event, that there were no cameras present at that event, suggests something without any conscious understanding of the world "wrote" that.

These companies are refusing to save global lives due to insufficient Return on Investment. This is not the same as saying it would lose money or even not make a profit.

There's a kind of idea that it possibly inferior / questionable compared to the peer reviewed academic literature.

Although, in my experience, a lot of grey literature is actually reviewed much more thoroughly and expertly than academic peer reviewed literature.
