Quackers comic 02-25-26 Panel 1: Jason and Tom are sat in the doctor’s consulting room looking at Dr Quackman. “While you’re here we may as well give you a thorough checkup to see if you’re roadworthy,” says the doctor to Jason. Panel 2: Dr Quackman stands by Jason, a small reflex hammer in hand. “How about we start by testing those reflexes of yours,” he begins. “But first I should let you know that my free will be five-thousand pounds.” Panel 3: Both Jason and Tom look aghast, Jason holding a hand to his brow in shock. “HOW MUCH!?!” They cry in unison. Panel 4: “We’ll you passed the cognitive reflex test with flying colours,” says Dr Quackman, jovially. He leans over Jason who is hyperventilating in his chair and clutching his chest. “How about we move onto the physical ones?” Tom looks on at Jason concernedly while Jason continues to wheeze

This is a genuinely terrible idea which would damage the night sky & thus our ability to explore space (& also to just have, y'know, darkness & uncluttered skies), & would drastically increase the likelihood of catastrophic cascading collisions of various human-made space objects (Kessler Syndrome).

I'm getting old. Seeing Metroid hitting 40 as well as Zelda is already pinching a nerve for me LOL

As it didn’t release on the SNES over here I only played CT many years later emulated. Only got half way through but intend to play all the way through some day!
I love the Zelda series, but Secret of Mana is one of my all time favourites for the story and gameplay. It was so impactful at the time.

Happy 40th to my favourite game series (gosh I’m old).

Link has a smile on his face as he does so P2: Link holds the rock above his head, as a Korok leaps up from the spot where the rock had been. They say "ya ha ha! You found me!" Link stares. Smiling. P3: a beat, as Link continues to stare at the Korok, who stares back. P4: an extreme closeup of Link, who has stylistically shifted to looking like he's stepped off the panel of a Fist of the North Star manga, black & white tones and all. His thick eyebrows scrunch together in frustration. P5: We are back to the previous style, as Link --smiling, always smiling-- positions the held rock over the Korok... P6: ...until he drops it on the Korok, who squishes cartoonishly as the rock bounces off their head, letting out a little "ouch!" Link's eyes closed with satisfaction as his smile grows wider.

Jason’s duck doctor is stood by his desk. “So what appears to be the issue?” asks the doctor. “Well, Dr Quackman,” says Tom, “Jason is suffering from a lingering sore throat after a bad cold.” Panel 2: “Oh my, that does sound like a problem,” comments the doctor. “Oh, not really. It’s the quietest he’s been in months,” replies Tom. Jason gives a very croaky and indignant “Hey!” whole glaring at Tom. Panel 3: “Alrighty, let’s take a look in there, shall we?” says Dr Quackman, producing a cylindrical device with red tips. “That’s an odd looking light-pen,” comments Tom. “Light-pen?” Questions the doctor. “Oh no, those tons are far too expensive and unreliable!” Panel 3: “Around here we use signal flares!” Dr Quackman exclaims excitedly, brandishing the flare in the air. “Much more effective and way more fun to use!” Panel 5: “Now open wide!” says the doctor, closing one eye and taking aim with the flare at Jason’s beak.
